Stormy Monday by the Allman Brothers Band
I was listening to the Allman Brothers live version of Stormy Monday from their Live At the Filmore East Album and got inspired to do this tab. The song was originally written by Aaron Thibeaux "T-Bone" Walker way back in 1947 and is a variation on the 12 bar blues in the key of A flat major but is usually performed in the key of G major.
A blues standard, this song has been covered by many over the years including, Eric Clapton, Eva Cassidy, Albert King, Buddy Guy, and Jimmy Smith. One of my favourite versions is by Bobby Bland . Check out his version on youtube .
Note, as with most blues standards, lyrics vary by performer and performance. I've used the Bobby Bland version of the lyrics in this tab.
