MXR M148 Micro Chorus Pedal
Picked up a second hand MXR M148 Micro Chorus pedal. I was looking for an affordable small analog stombox to sit on my pedal board.
This '80s reissue delivers an amazing range of rich chorus tones, from sparkly watery shimmers to intense rotating speaker simulation with a twist of the one and only Rate control. The Micro Chorus is designed with "old-school bucket brigade" (as per the MXR) technology for warm analog tones and features a true bypass switch.
A chorus pedal is a great way to create a thicker sound from a single signal. A chorus takes your source signal, doubles it and sets the second signal slightly out of phase and time with the first signal so it sounds almost like two instruments playing at the same time. A nice vintage sound you hear on songs like Every Breath You Take by the Police and Come As You Are by Nirvana.
